This can either be placed on your abdomen, arms, buttocks, or anywhere you like. A woman should wear this for three consecutive weeks and on the fourth week a patch is not required. Then the cycle will repeat on the following month. This also has side effect like that of a pill. Vomiting, headaches menstrual cramps, and so on can be felt. Aside from patches there are also injectables that are available.

It is much better to know what the possible side effects of a birth control method you will want to use. This will help you consider a few things before starting on it. One has to weigh the pros and cons of using birth prevention methods and having a baby. Just be ready for any consequences
