You can be old in physique and feeling and there will come a time that you will feel returning to feel like child again, but all the remaining days will make you realize that you are that old.

Well, I am not concern about my own feelings to get into old age. What concerns me most is the way people handles the aging stuffs.

When I visited my hygienist, a conversation melted into her mention of his officemate who celebrated the 40th birthday. Moreover, that the mention of the age alone has commenced a lengthy discussion on age stuff, along with mid-life and disgruntled dreams. She also uttered about her friends reaching the age of 50 and said that the old age is cool.

The 50 thing interests me so I quickly asked about the advantages that her friends elaborated, just for some change from all pessimism that I heard on old age.

She further stated that her friend claims that being on 50 will make her care no more about anything, such as appearance, diet, and pleasing others. That actually was the few upsides. We cannot simply put "caring" as a matter of good thing!

I also came to observed one fine day when my husband and I attended a get-together weekend of people that we seldom meet. I noticed that matters are surely changing views with old age, as far as our friends are involved. Pants with elastic waist replaced the used to be low-rider pants. The shapeless and flowery Cardigan sweaters also made a retro. Table conversations also were full of "I forget what I have to say" lines and sharing of back pains with the newest ache encounters, they suffered. That kind of conversation frightened me much!

More than one in the circle is suffering from gout-really an elderly disorder! When comparison struck with the old times, it is easy to muster the words, "those good old days!" It made me think twice on where my old friends were.

Generally, memory loss was the scariest thing that an elderly can experience. I remember the story of a woman who divulged that her husband spent 25 minutes searching for his sunglasses when in fact he has placed it atop his head.

This story is the one I can relate in some ways. My husband always forgets about where he placed his wallet. If I made a dollar every time he asked for it, then I would be rich by now! There was a time that he has not found it for a matter of two days. I called for a cancellation of his credit card only to hear his announcement that he had found it.

Back to the gathering, I also noticed that people are sipping Scotch instead of beer that they have loved. Nobody cared also about the sexy blonde-haired woman who passed by them. On the other hand, women were chatting about therapy and hormone replacement, as well as sleep patterns.

Getting old and the elderly signals are inevitable. What matters most is that people should not care about looking saggy when reaching old age. As long as you are happy and live a fulfilled life, all will be well!
