How to Make a First Date a Success

There\'s no more pressure than on a first date. Make yours a success by asking the right questions. There are certain things you can do to make this date as enjoyable as possible.

A first date is a make or break moment. Mess it up, and there's no way you're getting that second date. It's that whole "you don't have a second chance to make a first impression" thought process. Blow that first impression, and you've blown the entire thing.

So today I'm going to go through some tips on how to make that first date a success, which will get you that second date and hopefully more.

Tip 1: Stop with the Small Talk

It's boring and is only going to lead to more boring subjects. All small talk does in everyday life is give people with nothing in common a chance to pass the time and get rid of the silence. You definitely don't want to leave the girl with the impression that you're boring and just care about the weather or the local sports team.

Tip 2: Flirt like Crazy

This is extremely vital in order to show her that you're interested in her in a sexual way and not just looking to hang out. You don't need any more friends who are girls, do you?

Tip 3: Make the Date Fun

For tips on what this means and how to accomplish a "fun date," I would suggest the practice of assuming rapport. When you say hello to the girl, act as if you have known her for years. Do not act uncomfortable. Instead jump right into having a good time with her.

Tip 4: Ask the Right Questions

What are the right questions, you ask? Questions that give you an insight into her personality and who she is without directly (and boringly) asking her about it. For instance, questions you want to avoid:

- What music do you like?

- Do you have pets?

- Where did you grow up?

These are all things that will get answered in time - it's not like you're going to get through the night without finding out if she has pets or where she grew up - but let it happen naturally. Keep in mind: This isn't a job interview. This is a date.

Tip 5: Use Statements, Not Questions

So in the above example, if you were just dying to know where she grew up, instead of asking flat-out where she grew up, use a statement like this:

"I bet you grew up in the South. You have that Southern charm to you."

This opens up the floor to so many possibilities. First, it gets to the bottom of where she is from (which was your goal), but also lets you know how you view her and will open up that path of conversation. Again, you want the conversation to be fun and easy, not something you'd expect from a college entrance interview.

Tip 6: Get That Kiss

If you do not get the kiss at the end of the first date, it is extremely tough to get a second date. Even trying for it and not getting it is a success. If you try for the kiss, and she's not having it, then at least you know where she stands. But a girl is not going to think you're weird or creepy if you try to get a kiss at the end of a date. She's expecting it. It's the natural thing to do.
