But relationships suffer all the time from a loss of attachment to one another and these relationships can take up to a year sometimes to end, this makes the break up even more painful.

The initial reason for relationships falling apart isn't always the relationship itself. Sometimes an interest elsewhere can spark problems in your relationship, and ultimately drive a wedge between the two of you. A love interest at work or elsewhere can mean you spend less time with your partner. Maybe you text all the time or you could even just spend time apart physically, but either way you lose touch.

Ultimately these could be two reasons that your relationship drifts away from you. But most of the time it seems that your relationship drifting is down to inexplicable reasons for which neither of you are to blame. It is a sad fact of life but unfortunately at times it can be inevitable and you are powerless to do anything about it. The heart wants what it wants, and your partner may not be the one for you, the quicker you come to terms with this the happier you will be.
