Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed and get comfortable. You do not have to sit cross legged you can lay down if you prefer. Find the best position for you.

  • Choose an object or sound to focus on. Repeat it over and over again. If it is in your mind close your eyes and visualise it while repeating the sound internally. Use a positive affirmation. Repeat this affirmation until it becomes ingrained in the sub conscious. Make your affirmation personal to you and always start with" I am "

  • Aim to sit and meditate for 10 to 15 minutes a day.

  • If during meditation your thoughts wander do not get upset, just acknowledge them and let them go.

  • Make meditation part of your daily routine and before you know it the changes you bring about will be life changing.
  • Patience is the key to learning to meditate successfully. It is a new skill to learn so like anything it takes practise.
