Would you respond to an ad in a single on-line site which states: I don\'t need more SPACE in my life. I have more than I need. All I need is some CLOSENESS?

It is likely that if you are single who has been on the dating-scene for quite some time, and enrolled with various on line dating sites, you've seen many different ads put forth by different people. Some have attracted your attention, others have not.

* Could he/she be someone who is fed-up with Twitter and Facebook's "friends" and desires a "real" person to establish contact with?

* Could he/she be a person who feels he/she has a lot to give, and is craving someone to give it to?

You don't know.

The courage to be true and honest

All you know is that a person writing such an ad is honest, true to him/herself and to prospective readers/partners.

Would this be intriguing enough for you to contact him/her?

Does it echo about your own honesty and openness, with yourself as well as with others?

Being true to yourself

Being true to yourself means being open and honest about "who you are", behaving according to your genuine self, out of a sense of self-worth and empowerment. When you are true to yourself you can be true with your partner as well. You can then cultivate an authentic intimate relationship.

There is no reason to include here a "check-list" for you to determine whether or not you are true to yourself. Whatever comes first to your mind: YES, NO or "SOMEWHAT", is the right answer.

Now you have something to think about; maybe also to make some decisions concerning it.

Finding a partner and cultivating a successful relationship

The more true to yourself you are, acknowledge and accept "who you really are"; recognize your fears and needs, your strengths and weaknesses, the more "grown-up" you are with regard to dating and relationships. This being the case will bring you closer to finding a suitable partner and establishing the relationship you desire.
