The way you respond to your date also can show interest or non-interest. If you respond by saying "Oh yeah" or some other boring response then you will have them wondering if you really want to hear what they have to say.

On the other hand, if you respond with an enthusiastic "Wow! That's so cool!" then they will feel as though you are really interested in what they have to say and continue the conversation to receive more praise and positive acknowledgement.

5. Admit Ignorance

Many people are scared to admit that they don't know what their date is talking about but doing so is one of the best ways to ensure a conversation keeps going!

When you admit you don't understand them, or know anything about the topic they are discussing, it gives them a chance to show off their knowledge and really explain things to you. This can lead into an interesting conversation where you learn something new and they feel good for teaching you it.
