Create a Resume to give Yourself

A resume is given to a prospective employer to tell him about your work history and skills. I want you to make a resume as an application to yourself. In other words, sit down with a piece of paper and list all the experiences you've had and the skills that you gained by doing them.

This does not necessarily mean that you have to focus solely on past jobs (which is great, since you may not have had any). Just think about what you do, including your interests, and the skill set that is required to do those things.

Then list the things you've done that have made you happy, what your personal strengths are, and what you think are weaknesses that you would like to develop. Then list all the skills you want to learn. Finally, list the things that you value most in your life.

Begin Your Internet Search

Type in key words such as home-based business, internet opportunities and other related words, and you will find listings of one company after another that want to get you started on your very own business.

If you are thinking, "Hey, I can't sell a thing!" don't worry. Most of these organizations have wonderful training and support, and some even do the selling for you. Most importantly, choose a company that has a product or service you can believe in and can't wait to share with others; because really, that is what selling is all about.

If the organization meets your values and interests, go ahead and give it a try. You will find your learning curve jump straight up, you will find that purpose you are looking for, and you will develop strengths that you never thought possible. Toss out that word "can't" and believe in your self.
