We all know that university can be a very expensive time for both students and parents and this can be a real financial strain on parents and also put pressure on students to pay this debt back over time when they leave university, something that can take years. Although this is something a lot of students do, there are a certain percentage of students who do not because they feel that it will take up to much time, and if they are not studying then they want to be relaxing doing different activities or socialising with their friends.

This is where the Internet and working online has been a real advantage, and has been the answer that a lot of students have been looking for. This is because starting Internet businesses has meant that they have not been tied down to working lots of hours and are able to work at their leisure for fewer hours per week than they would if they had other jobs.

A lot of students have decided to venture into the internet because it has been a way of earning extra money for food or going out, but also something they could then use as a platform to build a more substantial income over a longer period of time.

The beauty of the Internet as an opportunity for students to work part time is the extreme flexibility that it will give them. They will be able to work at whatever times they want and will be able to fit it around their lectures times and different course commitments. I know personally when I was at university I worked behind the bar at the student union, which was mainly at night, meaning that sometimes I would miss out on social events due to this.

The other big advantage of this is that as they work online students will pick up valuable qualities and skills like internet marketing and working on blogs, websites, etc, which will be really useful skills to have when looking for a job after university if they do not decide to pursue internet marketing as a full time career.

So as we can see the power of the Internet is such that it provides angles and avenues for all individuals to take and make money including students. The fact of the matter is that certain students will not work, or will not have to work part time for various reasons such as they are being funded totally by their parents. Also certain students will relish the fact of working in a bar or club because they really like the social aspect of this.

However due to the Internet there is now another tool students can use, which many are, and I personally believe that with so many advantages such as the flexibility it provides, it is an ideal way for students to make part time money, something I wish I had known when I was at university.
