You just finished up your first few pages of your site and you want to get it listed on Google but you what are the best SEO tactics to use to get it listed and climbing to the top fast. I know you probably heard that you should submit it to the search engines or open a Google webmaster account.

You could do that, but it's not the best way to get their fast below I will reveal 3 things you should do to get listed quickly.

1. Write an article between 300 - 500 words about a subject you are passionate about. This article does not have to be about your niche though you can write about it if you want. I recommend you don't because you don't want the article to outrank your site. If you decide to use your niche that is OK, but don't use your website keywords in the article body and never try and sell anything in your articles. They should be filled with value that others would love to post on their sites. A sales article will never get you any bonus back links like a value based article does.


2. Create a resource box with your links in it. This is where you can promote your website, but I recommend that you just tell a little about yourself with an invitation to visit your site using your main keyword phrase as anchor text in the link. This will not only give you a back link to your site, but will tell the search engines what your site is about.


3. Submit your article to the article submission sites. I have heard a lot of people say to post to multiple article directories. This is fine, but I recommend you post a unique version of your article to each site to avoid the duplicate content filter at Google. I also find the best article directory to be EzineArticles, but that is my opinion and I advise you to test your own results to see if they are the same for you.

Follow these SEO tactics and your site will be indexed very quickly. Repeat this process until you see your site rise to the top. Depending on how competitive your keywords are will determine how many articles you will need to post.
