A gentleman opens doors for a lady and touches her gently on the elbow, upper back, or shoulder. He is not afraid of letting her know his interest in her through this type of touching. A nice guy opens doors for a lady and fears that she will get the wrong impression of him if he touches her without her consent.

A gentleman swoops in and gives a lady an unexpected kiss on the lips after a first date. He does not give her a slobbery tongue kiss, but it is a passionate one. A nice guy asks, "May I kiss you?"

A gentleman creates attraction in her by subtle, non-sexual touching when they are together. This non-sexual touching still creates a sexual tension. He is not afraid to break the touch barrier in a non-threatening way. A nice guy either would not dream of touching her until she feels comfortable with him or has no sense of timing about when and how much is appropriate. He is still waiting to get up the courage to ask her permission for a kiss while the gentleman is sweeping her off her feet.

A gentleman is well-versed in reading and understanding body language. A nice guy may read signals incorrectly and either fails to make a move when she is open and interested, or makes a badly-timed move.

A gentleman is a leader. He has a plan and takes charge of the time he spends with the lady of his choice. A nice guy asks," What would you like to do?" When she defers to him, saying, "I don't know. What would you like to do?" he responds with, "Whatever you want to do is fine." He is indecisive.

A gentleman who understands how to create attraction in women has studied what makes women tick, what they like, and how to make her interested in him. A nice guy is often angry because "women are just so hard to figure out."
