Many times, I'm sure. But it's my opinion that men are not pausing because the women are intimidating. There are two main reasons men pause, one has to do with themselves and one has to do with their impression of the woman they're looking at.

Why can't men think of anything to say? It's because they're not currently doing anything they feel worthwhile, so what do they have to talk about?

Let me explain. If you're out having a great time with your friends - perhaps you're at a bar having an impromptu rock-paper-scissors tournament. You're going to be drawing the attention of every girl (and guy) in the room. They're going to recognize how fun you look, and want to take part in your game. They'll make eye contact with you, stand nearby, do everything they can to make themselves available to talk to you.

Of course, whether you recognize this or not is another story. But the point is, you're drawing them in just by being you - the fun you.

So back to the example. Perhaps you're walking to work. Let's also assume it's a job you really enjoy (because you wouldn't stick it out at a job you didn't enjoy.... right?). Finally, let's say you're walking the route you usually walk because it goes by the park. And let's say its springtime... early May.

NOW can you think of something to say? How about this:

You: "Is this your route too?"

Her: "What?"

You: "Well, I walk this way every day in the spring because I like watching all the trees starting to bloom. And then by the time I'm at the end I'm only a block away from my job."

Her: "Wow, I guess I do! Do you work in the Reiker building?"

You: "No, next to it. But I have a better job than anyone in Reiker..."

Her: "Really? What is it?"

And so on. Your life has given you the opening that you need. Easy.

The other reason men often can't think of what to say is because they prejudge. They decide a girl is hot and then immediately start thinking of reasons why they can't talk to her. She's probably nasty. She's probably too rich for me. Or too smart. Or too dumb. Or something.

How do you know any of this? You don't. But you use it as an excuse not to talk.

And at the same time, look at the example I typed out. Do any of these prejudgments have anything to do with your life as you express it in the example. Of course not. So it's ridiculous to let them keep you from talking.

In the end, by living a life that YOU are passionate about, you are able to draw women in, instead of attempting to think of that perfect line. And that's how naturals do what they do.
