2. You'll want to make sure that the website layout you choose is concise. You don't want to make your visitors hung high and low for the navigation or for your all important content, or products.

3. The colours and design you used to be easy to read. You might want something stylish and artistic, but this shouldn't detract from your visitors' user experience. People still expect to have navigation in the same place on each and every page.

4. You'll want to make sure that your navigation and links are easy to follow so that your visitors can easily find their way round. Make sure that your design is consistent. 5. Make sure that your website is engaging and encourages visitors to explore your website and read your content. There's no point have highly relevant content, or excellent products that are hard to reach.

6. It sounds obvious, but make sure it's apparent what the site is about. If you've got an ecommerce site then you'll want to make sure that visitors know that it's a shop can find the products they want to be quickly and easily.

7. Make it clear what you want your visitors to do next, with plenty of calls to action. You want your visitors to add products to the shopping basket, or want people to contact your about your services, or download your software.

8. You might want to take advantage of Facebook or Twitter or any of the other social networking sites. How could your website design, contents or products take advantage of the many users on these sorts of sites?

9. Your products or services might be better explained using videos. How can you incorporate them into your website design?

10. You'll want to make sure that your website is worth coming back to. It's important that you keep the look and feel of the site as well as the content fresh, so make sure that your website design allows for this.
