How to Set Up a Simple HTML Website

Unless you can afford to use your own computer or server and have them turned on 24 hours for months, then get a hosting plan. Typically, a hosting plan that can be found at '"hosting-plan-site".com' usually costs $90 (give and take).

3. Transfer 'DNS' server to your hosting (provided you followed steps 1 and 2)

It will be given to you in your email. It will look like this for example, 'n55.hosting-plan-site.com' and 'n56."hosting-plan-site".com'. Write them both at your hosting site (in this case, 'hosting-plan-site'). Then you will have to wait 24 hours before you could upload or publish your website.

4. Other than hosting plan

You could go for a reseller hosting plan. What a reseller is that it works like a normal hosting plan. Just, there is a limited bandwidth and disk space usage. But, there is one huge advantage; you could register unlimited domain names for free. The reseller package is very suitable for people who need multiple sites, in the number of 30 to hundreds of them. You do the math.

Besides, the 'TLDs' discussed are more suitable for 'SEO'(Search Engine Optimization). 'Google' is more likely to 'like' your site and rank you better. Otherwise, if ranking is not important, then there is no harm in getting a free services from others.

In the end, you need a website publishing program like 'FrontPage', 'XSitePro' (I use this one as it is very simple to use, almost anyone can), 'Dreamweaver', or even 'Notepad'(if you can type manually all the html tags and texts).
